“ Great space for ramen. I liked the indoor/outdoor space. The ramen was tasty, I wish they had a regular miso ramen flavor and the option of half sizes for those with small appetites. ”
Agnes“ Very salty, not much depth in broth but I think it's worth the wait for the experience. Will be back to try another soup base. I got the truffle shoyu ramen but did not taste much truffle. Will go for the tonkotsu next time. Thought it was quite pricey for ramen but probably priced to match the business concept. ”
Su R“ It was raining and they have a sign saying to wait outside to get a table. Im not sure what they do for winter but hopefully people aren't freezing outside. Luckily i had no wait time to get a table which was nice but after awhile it was a full house, I felt bad for those waiting in the rain. Service wasn't bad but it isn't top tier either. However, the tables are like a bar type where it's very long and you can see the people on the other side. It can get a bit awkward if you want to talk on a first time date with privacy because you won't be getting any. You cannot split the bill so make sure you know who's paying. The food is good and came with an egg and broth is good too but similar to Toyko Street Market in my opinion. I still would recommend people to check it out at least once to taste how it is maybe it can taste better for you but Id rather have a similar tasting dish from TSM for half the price. ”
Marissa Su“ Overall, decent food for Calgary but not the best in comparison with other major cities. However, I would not recommend as you got to have plenty of time to wait in line to enter for a mediocre meal. Food was good, and came hot. Broths were a bit bland and could use a bit more flavour if you want a more traditional Japanese ramen taste. Not bad, but could have a deeper, richer taste. Service was somewhat slow, but reliable. Restaurant is always busy it seems, with a line at most times (weather was -20°C, and still had a 30 minute wait). This cue and constant traffic stretches the staff a bit thin at times. Location is conveniently downtown core of Calgary, but a bit small. Limited seating vs the popularity results in potentially long wait times. Interior is a bit crowded and noisy, but offers a warm and inviting feel. Overall, if you want to try arguably one of the cities best ramen locations, I say go for it. But, I caution you over potential wait times. My palette for ramen is somewhat refined as I’ve had a lot of ramen from many cities across North America and Japan. Therefore, from experience I would not wait again to eat here. But, not bad if you want to try it to compare or for the experience. ”
Jay OB“ First time stopping here after being recommended by family. Broth base tasted great with good flavor and just enough salt. We ordered the Tonkatsu Black and the OG Mazeman which has more of a tomatoey broth with the egg. I added the optional cheese topping and it was worth it. OG Mazeman with the cheese was more on the bit saltier side but it was good! Love the pork belly too! Good service and staff with friendly modern atmosphere. Music was a bit on the louder side but enjoyable. ”
